How Clarinets are made
Step 1: Notes are first made out of hot wax and then attached onto a tree
Step 2: Once they are on they go into another molding machine to make a hollow mold
Step 3: They then melt down nickel silver and pour it into the hollow mold
Step 4: The filled mold gets submerged it in water and the metal contracts
Step 5: Then employees snip off each key and grind off the extra stub
Step 6: The keys then go into a tumbler filled with fake rocks to polish the keys
Step 7: The keys are then dipped in copper so the silver rap will stick to it
Step 8: The clarinet body is drilled by a computer guided drill
Step 9: Posts are placed by hand and then they are pushed into place by a sonic welder
Step 10: Another machine cuts a hole through the center of each post for the rod of the key
Step 11: The next machine raps natural cork around the ends and then test it for quality
Step 12: Workers lubricate the parts and add the keys by hand
Step 13: Once both parts are done they assemble them together
Step 14: A musician makes sure that each key moves swiftly and then tests them for sound
Step 15: They are then cleaned and packaged.

In the future 3D printing will play a huge role in the clarinet making process, instead of having a silicon mold for the body they can 3D print it and save time by directly printing will a certain material. Soon playing the clarinet will be easier than ever.
